Monsignor Louis A. Marucci was born in Philadelphia. In 1978 at the age of eighteen, he began his studies for the priesthood and was ordained in May 1987. Monsignor Marucci holds a Master of Divinity and the Master of Arts in Sacred Theology. In addition, he holds the Doctorate in Ministry specializing in health care ethics and medical moral theology. After serving at a parish and as Vocation Promotion Director for the Diocese of Camden, he was appointed Director of Vocations for the Diocese. In October 1999 he was appointed the Director of Development for the Diocese. In April 2000 he was named "Chaplain of His Holiness" with the title "Reverend Monsignor" by the Holy Father.

Fr.Capperella began his assignment here at St. Vincent Pallotti June 19, 2002. He comes to us after serving at St. Thomas More in Cherry Hill for one full year. Ordained to the Priesthood, June 2, 2001. He was a graduate of Blessed John XXIII National Seminary, Weston, Massachusetts where he received The Masters of Divinity Degree.

Prior to his later calling to the Priesthood, Fr. Capperella was a graphic designer. He worked on page design and layout for advertising. He carried with him a B.F.A. from the University of the Arts, Philadelphia.

His is proud of his sister and two brothers, nieces and nephews. Some of which live in the King of Prussia area where Father Capperella comes from originally. A brother, and other family members reside in New Jersey.

Father Capperella is happy to be with the St. Vincent Pallotti faith community; to serve, to love and to worship with God’s Family.
